Charter schools do not receive funding at the same level as traditional DC public schools. Community support — especially from families — plays a vital role in sustaining the programs and opportunities that enrich our students’ education.
By becoming a Family Sponsor of the 2026 Supernova, you are investing directly in the school community your child is part of every day. Your support helps strengthen academic programs, extracurricular activities, and the supportive environment that BASIS DC is known for—from competitive athletics and academic teams to the House system that fosters connection, leadership, and school spirit.
