Donate an Item to the Silent Auction
Our silent auction relies on the generosity of businesses and individuals in our community. Every donated item — whether large or small — plays a meaningful role in helping BASIS DC raise funds for our school. Anyone can contribute, and we warmly encourage creativity.
In past years, donations have included vacation rentals, event tickets, music or ski lessons, themed baskets (books, wine, knitting), and professional services such as photography, lawn care, babysitting, and dog walking.
“Spirit parties” are another popular and unique donation option. These hosted experiences are a wonderful way to bring the school community together. Hosts choose a theme and then others bid on the chance to attend this small group gathering — ideas include a cooking class, sports watch party, cultural-themed dinner, or a discussion centered on a hobby or special interest. You might also consider partnering with a favorite local business, such as a restaurant donating a date night (with a babysitter added), or a nail salon contributing a mani-pedi experience. No idea is too big or too small.
Please let us know how the Boosters can receive your donated item. Items may be dropped off at the school office, and in some cases, pickup arrangements can be made. We also ask that you provide a photo of your donation for display at Supernova—this is especially helpful for experiences or digital items.
All donations must be submitted by March 14, 2026. The Supernova is Friday, March 27, 2026 from 7:30pm to 11pm at the North Hall of Eastern Market in Washington, DC.
